 SnoopSoft Dashboard Manual - Launcher Module
View BarThe View Bar for the Launcher only has one icon in it - the Font icon. The Font icon in the View Bar allows you to customize the way the Launcher display icons. There are three sizes available for you to use based on your preference. Examples of how Small and Medium appear are displayed below and Large is displayed in the example above. Page BarThe Page Bar appears on the Launcher when there are too many icons to display on one page of the Main View Area. When this happens, the Launcher Module automatically partitions the display into multiple pages and you can use the next page / prev page arrows to navigate between the available pages. Current FolderThe current folder being viewed appears here. To switch between available folders, simply tap on the folder name (in this example, 'Programs') and a popup menu will appear listing all the folder available for viewing. SnoopSoft Dashboard will load up the contents of two folders: The Programs folder (\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\) and the user-defined Launcher folder (\Program Files\SnoopSoft\Dashboard\Launcher\). In addition, any sub-folder contained within either of these two folders will be loaded as well. The Launcher module supports sub-folders as a way to group similar program shortcuts and reduce the clutter from using one folder for everything. The user-defined Launcher folder is where you can place your own shortcuts to your favorite programs without impacting the PocketPC Programs folders.
Main View AreaThe Main View Area is where SnoopSoft Dashboard places the icons for the current folder. To launch a program, simply tap on the program icon that you wish to launch. 
The Launcher folder also allows you to create, copy, move, delete and rename shortcuts without having to resort to another application. To perform these advanced actions or to see the name of a program, simply tap and hold on top of one of the available icons and a menu will appear with more information and options. The name of the program will appear at the top of the menu, followed by more options. New...Use this menu option to create a new shortcut to a program in the current folder. When you select 'New...' a dialog box will appear that allows you to browse your device for files. Locate the one you want and select OK to create a new shortcut icon for that file. CutCut works just like the Windows Cut functionality found in most programs. Selecting Cut makes a copy of the currently selected item and then deleted that item from the list. If you just want to remove an item, simply select 'Cut' from this menu and then don't 'Paste' the icon anywhere else. CopyCopy works just like Cut, only it won't remove the selected item from the list. This allows you to create a duplicate item somewhere else by moving to a different folder location and selecting 'Paste' from the menu. PastePaste allows you to create a copy of the last Cut or Copied item in the current location. If you tap and hold where there is not a current item, then the popup menu will appear with only 'New...' and 'Paste' (if you've previously Cut or Copied something) active. RenameRename will bring up another dialog box that allows you change the name of the current item.  Options
Hide Shortcut Arrows on IconsThe Launcher only provides one option and that is to enable/disable the display of the shortcut arrows on the displayed icons. The only reason this exists is to speed up the display of the main view area. By default, this option is enabled and the Launcher module has to go through some extra steps in order to display icons without the shortcut arrows. If this delay is too long (on some slower devices) then you can disable this option and this will speed up the load time a bit. Show only Launcher folder itemsBy default, SnoopSoft Dashboard will automatically load up the Programs and Games folders on the device allowing them to be selected by changing the Current Folder. Enable this option and those other folders will not be loaded automatically by SnoopSoft Dashboard. Views
