17 June, 2004	SnoopSoft releases SnoopSoft Dashboard version 2.1 to all registered users! Features and Fixes included in v2.1.06: SnoopSoft Dashboard ·   Tap and Hold on a View icon now launches the quick-launch application associated with that view. This can be done while on any view - for instance while on the Agenda view, tap and hold the Contacts view icon will launch the application associated with Contacts. ·   Shadow Fonts have been added as an option. To enable them go to the Options dialog Font tab and check the box next to the option. ·   Added the ability for skin designers to control how the Today Separator lines look and the underlines in view headings. Two new tags have been added to the [Bitmaps] section of the skin definition file: ImagesSepToday and ImagesSepLine. ·   Added a new option in the Dashboard module droplist for each view: Space. Selecting SPACE for the Dashboard module will cause anything below the Dashboard module Space in the list to be bottom justified giving the view a flexible spacer. Agenda ·   Fixed appointments staying on the display after their time has passed when a prior appointment starts before and ends after the time of the appointment. ·   Removed the update interval options as they were no longer applicable to the way the module functions. Mail ·   Removed the arrow for Mail and replaced it with the Service icon. The arrow wasn't used for Mail so didn't make sense being there. ·   Added BCC as a field in the Enhanced Mail Module that can be used when composing a message. Contacts ·   Modified the popup window with color icons ·   Added the ability to dial phone numbers from the Today screen by tapping on them (phone numbers appear underlined now on Pocket PC Phone devices). PegMaster ·   Changed the module so that it can be used in any view
17 February, 2002	SnoopSoft releases SnoopSoft Dashboard v1.4.001d to all registered users! Features and Fixes included in v1.4.001: SnoopSoft Dashboard ·   Fixed the icon cache management code in the mini-launcher to properly display program icons even if the program resides on a storage card. ·   This next change resides in the module code, but applies to all of the SnoopSoft Dashboard modules so it's listed here: Modified the modules to initially load only when selected from the view menu. What this means is that the Mail module will not initialize itself and load the email until it is selected for viewing. This dramatically improves performance because there was a lot of contention when all the modules tried to initialize and load their data on a soft-reset. Agenda/Tasks Module ·   Fixed the Tasks display bug causing some tasks to not appear. ·   Fixed the auto-load code to only reload appointment data when notified of a change. Mail Module ·   Added support for Inbox folders to the basic Mail Module on the Pocket PC 2002 OS. ·   I believe that there remains a performance issue with this module on the new Pocket PC 2002 OS if you have a lot (>400) of mail messages in one folder. I am investigating this and will try to have a fix for it as soon as possible. Launcher Module ·   Updated the icon cache management code for the Pocket PC OS and disabled it on the Pocket PC 2002 OS as it was causing some odd behavior in that environment. There are still some reports of links in the Pocket PC OS that will not properly update to an icon without a link image and we are investigating this for the next update. ·   Fixed the bug that appeared when "New" was selected from the popup menu and then immediately hitting 'OK' caused an invalid shortcut to appear and the device would go into a soft-reset loop when the Launcher view was displayed. ·   Fixed the Rename dialog to properly display the SIP when changing the file name of a link at the bottom of the display. MyDash View ·   SnoopSoft Dashboard will now automatically install the SnoopSoft Contacts module onto any Compaq iPaq device running the Pocket PC 2002 OS. This is an exclusive arrangement with Compaq so it is not available for other devices or OS's. Added code to the Contacts module that will prevent it from loading and running on any non-iPaq device or any device running an older version of the OS.
